Affirmations have made a big impact on my mental health, but I won’t pretend I’m perfect at using them all the time.

There are moments where I feel stretched thin trying to balance motherhood, building a business, and chasing ideas that matter to me or I find interesting. It’s a lot. And in those moments, my thoughts can quickly shift in the opposite direction of what I actually need.

When that happens, I have to intentionally stop myself in my tracks. I’ll grab my phone or notebook where I’ve written affirmations and start reading them — sometimes a little aggressively at first 😅

Then I pause, breathe, and repeat them again with more kindness. That’s usually when I feel the shift.

I’m still learning this, but having a few go-to affirmations has helped me stay grounded while building something alongside motherhood.

Here are a few I come back to often 🤍

How to Use Affirmations Daily

You can use affirmations in whatever way fits your day best. There’s no “right” way to do this at all!

For me, I keep them in a few easy places so they’re always within reach:

  • a note in my phone
  • a notebook
  • sticky notes on my bathroom mirror

If you can, say them out loud. There’s something powerful about hearing the words, even if it feels a little awkward at first.

And on days when that feels like too much, even quietly repeating them in your head can help shift your mindset.

Start simple. One or two affirmations can be enough to reset your day.
