Affirmations have made a big impact on my mental health, but I won’t pretend I’m perfect at using them all the time.

There are moments when everything feels like too much. The mental load, the responsibilities, the constant thinking and doing… it can all build up quickly. And when that happens, my thoughts tend to go in the opposite direction of what I actually need.

In those moments, I have to intentionally pause. I’ll grab my phone or a notebook where I’ve written affirmations and start reading them… sometimes a little urgently at first 😅

But then I slow down. I take a breath. I repeat them again with more softness and kindness. That’s usually when I start to feel grounded again.

I’m still learning this, but having a few go-to affirmations has helped me come back to myself when everything feels overwhelming.

Here are a few I come back to often 🤍

How to Use Affirmations Daily

You can use affirmations in whatever way fits your day best. There’s no “right” way to do this at all!

For me, I keep them in a few easy places so they’re always within reach:

  • a note in my phone
  • a notebook
  • sticky notes on my bathroom mirror

If you can, say them out loud. There’s something powerful about hearing the words, even if it feels a little awkward at first.

And on days when that feels like too much, even quietly repeating them in your head can help shift your mindset.

Start simple. One or two affirmations can be enough to reset your day.
