Affirmations have made a big impact on my mental health, but I won’t pretend I’m perfect at using them all the time.
Toddler life can feel especially overwhelming. The big emotions, the constant movement, the testing of boundaries… it’s a lot. And in those moments, it’s easy for my thoughts to spiral in the opposite direction of what I need.
When that happens, I have to intentionally stop myself in my tracks. I’ll grab my phone or a notebook where I’ve written affirmations and start reading them…sometimes a little aggressively at first 😅
But then I pause, breathe, and slow down. I repeat them again with more kindness, and that’s when I start to feel the shift.
I’m still learning this, but having a few go-to affirmations has helped me reset more times than I can count.
Here are a few I come back to often as a toddler mom 🤍

How to Use Affirmations Daily
You can use affirmations in whatever way fits your day best. There’s no “right” way to do this at all!
For me, I keep them in a few easy places so they’re always within reach:
- a note in my phone
- a notebook
- sticky notes on my bathroom mirror
If you can, say them out loud. There’s something powerful about hearing the words, even if it feels a little awkward at first.
And on days when that feels like too much, even quietly repeating them in your head can help shift your mindset.
Start simple. One or two affirmations can be enough to reset your day.
